The item is flimsier than I expected, with the fold out parts held in place by a few thin strips of Velcro, so it doesn’t quite line up in places. The padded top is heavier and well made, and overall it does the job.. Caroline. Swinton Manchester, GB. Wed May 14 2025

Organise your hallway or entryway with this contemporary shoe storage bench from Livingandhome. It's made from solid wood with white varnish, and it features a slatted design for a classic feel. This piece has three exposed shelves that hold up to seven pairs of shoes combined, and the padded top lifts to reveal a storage compartment for smaller essentials. The handles on both sides are designed for easy movement. It measures 50cm high and 91.5cm wide.

The description of this being "fully assembled" is inaccurate (see my picture). It came in several pieces and did need assembly. This was however relatively straight forward, although the material/wood is very, very soft and easily splits so be careful. Also, it was missing two screws from the package which is a bit of an annoyance. It's lightweight and looks okay but overall a bit of a disappointment. Glad it was discounted.. Anonymous. The hand-made bench has a 6-centimetre high seat, supported by 40-centimetre long legs made of solid beech A-class wood. We put 3 centimetres of high-density upholstery foam on the furniture board. It is exactly such as to provide you with comfort, a stable position, and a constant shape for years. The foam has a finger-thick layer of wadding that binds and stabilizes the whole and has hypoallergenic properties. And on top, is the highest quality fabric - extremely durable and resistant material in one of several dozen colours.
