Absolutely Terrible Design – A Complete Waste of Money I genuinely regret buying this daybed. It looks attractive in the photos, but in reality the design is completely impractical. The mattress sits far too high, making the whole bed look ridiculous and nothing like a proper sofa or daybed. With a normal-quality mattress fitted, it looks bulky, awkward and completely out of proportion. The biggest issue is that you are forced to choose between comfort and appearance. A decent mattress makes the bed look terrible, while a thin mattress might look slightly better but is uncomfortable for everyday sleeping. For something advertised as both a daybed and a trundle bed, this is a major design failure. The photos are extremely flattering and do not properly show how high and awkward the mattress will sit once the bed is actually in use. Had I known what it would really look like, I would never have ordered it. After spending this amount of money, I am now considering modifying the frame or completely removing the bottom trundle just to make the main bed usable. A customer should not have to redesign a brand-new piece of furniture because the manufacturer failed to think about basic proportions and everyday use. It is uncomfortable as a sofa, badly proportioned as a daybed and extremely disappointing as a main bed. It has caused nothing but frustration, additional expense and regret. The bed is solidly made with clear assembly instructions. It took longer than the suggested time to put together - you also need a fair amount of space to build it. The drawers are smaller than we had anticipated, with the bed frame limiting the height of the items you could fit it them. The main issue we had was that the bed isn't designed to work on carpeted floors as there is no clearance built in between the bottom of the drawers and the floor.
