Black Lacquer

This style of table or desk, with a carved shelf or footrest at the bottom, appeared during the Chinese Qing dynasty and is similar in style to many modern-day console tables. The shelf on the version replicates their own Ming Carved Screen, a design dating from the Ming Dynasty and made up of individually carved pieces of wood which are then joined together. Together with the circular brass hardware, this gives it an unmistakable oriental feel. The table has two drawers and a rattan panel inlaid into the top, making it more hard-wearing for use either as a desk or a display table.

This elegant vintage console table comes from Northern China and dates from circa 1900. It has recently been restored to preserve all the detailing. It is made out of solid elm and hand-painted in a vibrant distressed orange shade.

Handcrafted from solid elm wood, this 2-door console table is perfect for keeping out-the-door essentials neatly arranged in your hallway.

This elegant console is great as a hall table or in a reception room, or use it with the Side Stool as a dressing table. It has the same distinctive horse hoof shaped feet and 'waisted' top as other tables in the range - both common features of Chinese furniture from the Ming Dynasty. Two shallow drawers provide ideal storage for keys and other odds and ends. Part of the furniture range, handcrafted from reclaimed elm wood with a natural 'rustic elm' finish.
