Purchased this as a task chair for my new office. The seat is firm (which I love) and the profile is wider than typical side/dining chairs. The back is low and gives a little bit, while oddly providing nice lumbar support. The whole chair is somewhat "stiff" feeling and not something I could sit in for extended periods of time - but will work for my purposes.
