DO NOT BUY Update, it’s December, it gets worse, sometimes the footrest gets caught on the tiled floor and causes the sofa to judder, the foot plate doesn’t close properly and today I found a nut from the mechanism on the floor. I am disabled and can’t get under it or take it apart to find out where it fell off. I really hate it. It looks good but the reclining mechanism is noisy and makes a breaking wind noise that I hoped would stop after it wore in but it’s as loud as ever. Update, the sound is awful, it’s September and if anything it’s worse. Recliner mechanism is just as noisy operating with no one sitting in it. I dislike this sofa a lot now so have downgraded it to a 2 star. I really wish I had bought something else. This is a nice sofa for the cost which is actually quite easy to convert into a springy, supportive twin-sized sofa bed. Slept on for a couple of weeks and was well rested. This sofa looks great at first glance but is very uncomfortable and poor quality. The cushions slide forward when you sit on them so you end up with a big gap at the back of the sofa. The base cushions also sink to one side once you've been sitting on the sofa for a while as if there isn't enough support in the base of the sofa ie under the seat cushions.
