Never normally someone who posts reviews but I’m very disappointed as this looked lovely on the website and the quality seems great but it’s genuinely the worst piece of furniture i’ve ever tried to build. Incredibly time consuming item that comes with 163 (yes, one hundred and sixty three) screws. Instructions are very unclear for something with so many parts, and a lot of the screw holes just don’t line up to be able to make this properly. It would be easier trying to build a spaceship than this.. Ryan. Kent. Fri Sep 25 2026

After waiting several months for this display unit to arrive, I feel very disappointed. It definitely wasn't worth the wait or the time taking to put it together as it's definitely no simple task. The fronts and sides of the unit are a darker colour than the edges so it doesn't blend in and actually makes the unit look like a 'cheap' item! I really liked the style but have to say that overall it definitely isn't what I expected and I'm glad I didn't pay the price that it's at now! It was intended for my lounge but it's been relegated to the conservatory. Maybe the sun will fade the darker parts. Anonymous. Wed Feb 05 2025

There is a generosity to yellow that no other colour on the spectrum quite replicates, and the 2x2 Storage Unit in Yellow gives that generosity a proper stage to perform on. Measuring 72.7 cm wide, 72.8 cm tall, and 32.9 cm deep across four open compartments arranged in a perfect square grid, it makes people feel positive. Terrible! This is the first time I have ordered from Wayfair and I am not impressed at all. There are chips in several pieces of wood, the cheap plastic legs also have small chips in them. There are tears in both back boards and the spine that links the back boards together was not in the box. To top it all off when it was built, following the instructions, one of the shelves is not straight because the holes are in the wrong place. I appreciate I only paid £200 for this so don't expect the best quality however I do expect wood without chips in and all the pieces to be in tact. I have also ordered a desk, if this is the same quality then I will not be using Wayfair again.. K. Worksop, GB. Thu Oct 31 2019

This sideboard offers both decorative appeal and practical storage, making it a perfect addition to your home.

The short version: lovely unit, God-awful to build! The long version: this is such a unique piece of furniture that I decided to buy despite the reviews warning about the build experience. It was also on sale and because I’ve been around the block a fair bit with flatpack, I thought surely it couldn’t be that bad. I’ve met some doozies in my time! But it was pretty exhausting, I can’t lie. Unless you’re savvy with building flatpack, I wouldn’t bother yourself with the stress. I’d consider myself very experienced and four hours later I’ve had to admit defeat - I got as far as assembling the unit without the doors. They’ll go on at a later date. This build comes with over 200 small screws if that gives even a vague idea of what you’re in for. Couple that with the metal sheets in most cases not even aligning as they should and I’m sure you’re getting the picture. Be warned that you’ll need a good amount of physical strength and persistence to complete this. I’m 5ft 5, slim-build, and had to assemble this completely on my own. Never again! It’s a beautiful unit and very sturdy considering I couldn’t even get a good amount of the screws in (and several aren’t tightened properly either). But I just can’t recommend this to because of the unnecessary difficulty of the build. And Wayfair’s assembly costs are just too extortionate to justify. If you do decide you’re gonna go for this, be aware that none of the parts are labelled - you’ll have to do this yourself, matching each piece to the illustrations. Then use your best guess in the cases where the pictures don’t match the pieces they’re supposed to anyway. I also couldn’t get the feet to go on at all. The diagram shows them fully inserted into the legs. Mine wouldn’t go into the leg past the first ridge. If you can have a helper handy that might make all the difference. If you’re building solo like me though, you’re not gonna have a fun time! Buy at your own risk!. Babs The Builder. England. Sun Apr 05 2026

Whether you're in search of a display rack for living room, or need a bookshelf with storage in study, even just a wood standing shelf for your CD and DVD, this piece is undoubtedly an excellent option that serves all your needs with your own personality.

This was perfect for my childs whimsical playroom. I didnt add the door so it would be easier to use. Also, as others have mentioned, a couple of boards split a tiny bit even though I was careful hand screwing. It didnt affect the build but it is slightly visible on one side. So be extra careful when putting it together. It holds a ton of stuff!. Caitlin. Naperville, IL. Tue Jun 03 2025
