The taupe velvet is such a lovely neutral shade and looks really elegant in the bedroom without feeling too dark or overpowering. The bed feels really well made and sturdy, and the velvet upholstery is soft and looks even better in person. Bought the full-size for my tween and it's a very solid, attractive style that would have cost a lot more somewhere else. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is a feel like it could be a little flimsy, as the side rail for the slats screw into the side panels directly with no support underneath besides the middle legs (normally there is a long timber Batton for it to rest on to add additional support).
