Quirky and very pretty. However, the top part had a narrow crack half way the width of the chest, which indicates that the quality of the wood does not reflect the price. Also, one of the corner joints was slightly damaged. It came from Germany, but as it was super wrapped and had great protection, I do not think the damage happen during transit. I feel the quality of the wood was the problem. A friend is going to repair the top and the damaged joint because I do not want to wait weeks for a replacement. This chest has been constructed from 100% solid mango wood and finished with a clear lacquer making the product durable and able to withstand years of use. It features a unique zig-zag patchwork design on the drawer fronts consisting of different shades of wood. Some other features include 4 Nordic style legs and shiny brass hexagon-shaped knobs allowing easy access into the drawers.
