The outer faux leather layer started wearing away at about the 5 year mark and it's in a bad state now so looking for an upgrade. It's also lost the cushioning and is creaky. Considering the price, I still rate this 5 stars for an entry level recliner, it's been brilliant to sink into every evening. Just don't expect to get more than about 5 years life out of it.
