**Please Read** I absolutely LOVE this shelf! I was almost put off by some negatives I had read in regards to building and how some of the screws didn’t fit correctly, what I will say is I’m a 24year old inexperienced flat pack builder and I managed just fine! Yes doing it alone is slightly more fiddley having to hold pieces in place and screw at the same time but honestly I built this within the hour! JUST SOME ADVICE for anyone thinking to buy.. the back criss cross design was slightly difficult when I was trying to screw in how the piece came, what I did quickly realise is if u pull on the middle slightly to pull the criss cross back out you will fit this with absolute ease! It is not as dark as the first picture, thats due to my bad camera. The true colour is what is shown in the next to photographs. The material says wood and good quality chipboard which I can see the chipboard is nice, compact and has weight to it, although on the downside, this entire bookshelf is covered in a high gloss vinyl that is a very obscure tortoiseshell colour.. I sadly expected wood stain or paint as It had no mention of otherwise. The product is probably great for someone with incredibly warm toned furniture. This is not for me, as it has vinyl all over it, in an obscure rich rust brown colour and burnt wood black colour, it is too high gloss for me also. It is a shame as once put together it is incredibly sturdy and stands tall around 4”11 maybe. I would not, not recommend this as it is nice for the right consumer, although it is literally overpriced, and the colour and vinyl is not for me. I will be sending back. A nice cream mix of wood in this would be an absolute winner for me, but they unfortunately only stock white. This product is not Borough Wharf, the product is from Songmics and is part of their Vasagle range. If you go to Songmics website you can purchase this for $59 with free shipping, that is only £43. Absolutely love it, just what I was picturing when I wanted a new bookcase. Big, chunky and looks very industrail, which again is what I was after. It's of course not "real" wood, but honestly you couldn't tell from a distance. The shelves are much chunkier than I expected which is a good thing, very heavy! Very good quality for money. Looks lovely in my room. Delivery was also very fast. And for those of you that are looking for someone who has pictures AND tells you if the colour represents the images on the website, I'd say yes, though ever ever so slightly darker, the same colour tone though just a touch darker to the eye than the images online.. Perfect little bookcase for our spare room! Looks exactly as pictured, and was easy to assemble (on my own, at 38 weeks pregnant too!) Would highly recommend as it’s a sturdy unit once built.
