Base is sturdy enough and fairly easy to put together. Seats arrived with a few scratches on them but decided to keep anyway. Seats position not ideal for me as I'm only 5'0" and would prefer a straighter back. I chose these because they can be adjusted to suit me and taller members if my family. This product is delivered fully assembled. All dimensions are approximations as the product has been handmade using 100 percent solid beech wood. The lightly applied varnish offers the best protection and makes the product easy to clean. The height can be adjusted by turning the seat.
