The bed is ok to put together. A single mattress is smaller than the bed frame so it moves about a bit as there are no lips around the frame. The drawers are useful but don’t look robust enough to house heavy items. My son likes the LED lights and charging headboard function. One thing to note the plug to socket lead is small. I had to purchase an extension lead so that the charging and lights can be used. 4 stars but should be a 3 12 really. There are a few cons with the bed. Let’s see how my lad gets on with it.. engineered entirely from hardwood for a quick and clean assembly. The timber used if from a sustainable source and is knot free. When painted white it does not age with knot stains leeching through the paint leaving unsightly brown marks. It makes a very stylish and reliably strong bed suitable for all age groups, and looks equally great in domestic & contract settings. The side rails are laminated, and there are two bolts in the side rails to provide extra strength. Our side rails are constructed by using the process called “LVL” which is an engineered timber. This is known as structural composite lumber and now often used for joists. So you can see where the strength is against solid pine or even solid rubber wood, as both could use finger joints in the timber and this is where the strength is lost. This bed frame has been tested and certified that it will take 300kg in weight, which is over 47 stone.
