I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table. Screws fall out as some holes had been drilled too big, chose to replace all screws with larger ones and this solved the problem. Not a perfect fit with some gapping at some joints no matter what was tried (with both original and new screws) clearly cut enmass and no test fit for these hence the price point. Good quality and finish, matching the Torquay extending dining table well. One criticism - the seat pads. They are so dark brown as to appear almost black.
