The taupe velvet is such a lovely neutral shade and looks really elegant in the bedroom without feeling too dark or overpowering. The bed feels really well made and sturdy, and the velvet upholstery is soft and looks even better in person. I love the ottoman storage — there is a huge amount of space underneath the mattress, which is perfect for storing spare bedding, blankets and anything else I want to keep out of sight. The hydraulic lift makes it really easy to access too. I also love how versatile the colour is. It gives the room a warm, cosy feel. Actually really easy to put together - it took me longer to disassemble the bed it was replacing. Bought the full-size for my tween and it's a very solid, attractive style that would have cost a lot more somewhere else. I’m so pleased with the look of this bed, it’s stunning. As a bonus it’s easy to put together (Seriously under an hour for someone with even a little experience of flat packs!). The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is a feel like it could be a little flimsy, as the side rail for the slats screw into the side panels directly with no support underneath besides the middle legs (normally there is a long timber Batton for it to rest on to add additional support). Bed was good, easy to build and delivery was fine. But a part was missing, one of the vertical supports on the centre bed rail wasnt in the box - as shown in the image, it was easier to cut abit of wood rather than ask for a replacement as I needed the bed built that day.. Terrible experience. A lot of missing parts when it got delivered - which means that I cannot even start building the bed post unpacking ‘everything’. The quality of the materials is also not great and few parts were damaged. Best part is that I’ve ordered the missing pieces but got informed that they do not have them anymore. So I am left with a structure I cannot use because 5 important pieces were missing at delivery and don’t seem to even exist anymore. Worst service ever. Not sure what I am supposed to do now..
