I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table. I’m sick of hard chairs. I wanted something comfy and padded and swively so people would stay at the table instead of migrating to softer furniture with food and for playing board games. Yet, I wanted a wipeable surface because…kids. I *almost* got what I was looking for with these chairs. They look nice and modern, they swivel well (some get a bit loose), and they are comfortable. The two cons that I have are 1) I wish the angle of the chair was a little more upright and 2) my niece spilled a drink and it seeped down to the padding because of the holes where the stitching makes “stripes”, so they definitely aren’t waterproof which makes me sad. I’m sick of hard chairs. I wanted something comfy and padded and swively so people would stay at the table instead of migrating to softer furniture with food and for playing board games. Yet, I wanted a wipeable surface because…kids. I *almost* got what I was looking for with these chairs. They look nice and modern, they swivel well (some get a bit loose), and they are comfortable. The two cons that I have are 1) I wish the angle of the chair was a little more upright and 2) my niece spilled a drink and it seeped down to the padding because of the holes where the stitching makes “stripes”, so they definitely aren’t waterproof which makes me sad.
