Dakota Fields 3cm W x 1.6cm D Retractable Side Awning

My 11ft awning was purchased to fit in a 10ft 10inch opening. The awning is only 10 ft 3inches wide so I had to make some extensions to hold it open. The pole that is supposed to hold it open is a joke. It only has one attachment and that is in the middle. If the wind blows the awning can’t remain straight up and down at the open end because it pivots at the middle attachment. On a positive note, the general construction and materials do seem to be of good quality.

Side awning is as expected, but the companion stanchion base-plate becomes bent just from the pull from the awning retractor spring. Thicker base-plate needed

The screen is great, the post is really weak. We will be reinforcing ours soon as it is already precariously leaning.

Terrible. One is ripped before we even set it up and the other retractable part doesnt work properly.
