The bird house "Island" combines bird feeder and nesting box in a detailed half -timbered house. The house is pre-glazed in red-brown and the small struts around it create a real half-timbered look. The roof is covered with reddish bitumen felt, which gives the impression of small roof tiles. The small wooden chimney completes the look. The two nesting boxes in the gable area can be used by different bird species. One nesting box has a 28mm entrance hole, the other has a diameter of 32mm. Many native bird species can nest here, making the bird feeder a year -round station for wild birds.
The bird feeder is fully assembled, including a matching plastic silo and a matching base. Only the stand has to be screwed together and attached to the house. So you can start feeding wild birds immediately!
The silo is simply pushed into the appropriate guide and can withstand some wind without tipping out of the house. It holds approximately 450ml of food, but should not be completely filled. It's better to refill every day so that the birds always have fresh food available. To increase the stability of the birdhouse, especially in bad weather conditions, you should anchor the stand to the ground with a metal pin. This ensures a stable stand that is not affected by gusts of wind. The base of the stand is pre -drilled for this purpose. The metal pins are not included.
