Instructions tricky to follow. 3rd ring does not clearly look like it has a purpose. No instructions how to set up as an actual armillary. But pretty to look at

My review stands in diametric opposition to the others I've read on this site; however, my expectations were different. I would not have purchased this item if it DIDN'T rust. I have created a garden in the manner of an old English estate rose garden, and I would not feature new ornamentations or a newly painted armillary, because such things would not suit the natural, age-old feel of my property. Although formal, my house is limestone, and outdoor fixtures are antique. This armillary is the focal point of the Lily Garden, and it has weathered (yes, RUSTED) into a beautiful, authentic looking treasure that we can actually use to tell time! If it's an armillary sphere you're after, look around, and you'll see how the one offered here at this price is patently unbeatable!

I love this item in my garden--but so do the birds who make a real mess!

I was looked all over the internet for a substantial size Armillary with a great price and I found this one to be the best of all. The Armillary has nice detail and the color is true to the photo. I love it
