Excellent garden chair and easy to put together

Let me be clear - THIS IS NOT EASY TO ASSEMBLE. The tools provided are inadequate and had to be supplemented with my own. I strongly suggest using an allen key that comes in a multi key unit with a handle for leveraging. The plastic is a bit uneven in places, particularly rough near the cup holder. Not outstanding quality. Caution: Chair is very heavy. Once my back recovers I will attack chair number 2.

Once assembled, the chair is quite solid and comfortable. I bought two and assembled the first one with the Allen wrench and ‘spanned’ provided. That was mistake 1 - the tools were just too fiddly, and assembly was over an hour. For the second, I used an Allen wrench and spanner which both ratcheted. Assembled in 20 minutes. Mistake 2 was testing how they collapsed and opened up. I was holding the front of the seat while opening the chair, and nearly lost my fingers. There’s a strut under the seat which comes up to meet it, so if you’re holding the front of the seat, you trap your fingers. The chair is heavy enough it can act as a vice and simply bite your fingers off. So be careful. Major design flaw, in my view. But I still have my fingers for typing this summary.. .

After a bit of a hiccup with first chair we were so pleased ordered a second chair. We have a small courtyard garden and chairs fit in beautifully.
