Put water in them .easy to do, put them on the cross stand on the parasol. Then l put plants on it.

Be very careful if buying this to go with the Sadie parasol, despite it saying they are compatible they are not I ordered them together as website said they where compatible and had so send it back False advertising

Easy to use - very heavy when full. I would have put the input on the top to avoid leaks.
