Wonderful addition to the pool area!

This is a very clean, attractive outdoor shower that does heat the water to a comfortable temperature. There are a few things to know when purchasing the shower. First, the warm water comes from an internal tank held in the upper section of the tower. The tank is warmed throughout the day, and you draw heated water from there while fresh water fills to replace it. This means you must have the water supply hooked up, and the tank full for most of the day if you want warm water. Second, all fixtures and water hookups are made of plastic. This has led to the shower head and thermostat breaking during a wind storm. The threading are non-standard sizes for us plumbing, so finding replacements for them has been challenging. Third, the water intake connection does tend to leak a bit, so make sure you use plumbing tape and a PLASTIC adapter. Fourth, the tower is tall and very solid once assembled. Because the water tank is in the top of the tower, it is extremely top heavy when in use. Make sure you secure the unit to the ground in a meaningful way. It will not sit flush with the ground, so you may need to build a small platform to give the lag bolts something to sink into. Finally, do not leave this unit out in cold weather. Even if you've winterized the unit and drained all water. The plastic will not do well in cold weather. It is better to take it down and store it out of the elements until warm weather returns.
