Works well with my new cover but might not work with a heavier waterlogged cover. Rated at 55 lbs max load. That was not mentioned in the specs.

Very bad instructions. We had to put in 5x as many screws as were recommended to attach and expect it to stay attached. This is ok for thin hot tub lids, but if you have a thicker lid, I don't recommend this. You'll have to lift up your tub to install this, so expect to drain it. Works better on cement pad, not gravel or dirt.
