While overall the product is excellent, there was some damage to some posts on delivery. There were also 3 missing poles making the connection of the tarp impossible. However very prompt customer service to a high standard were able to support me with a solution although the whole experience was highly inconvenient. Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. Looks good, easy to build but a bit flimsy.. we use it all year round but have to remember to leave the roof partially open otherwise water pools and gives the impression that if left it would break. Anonymous. Sat Feb 07 2026
