Providing a shelter for hedgehogs gives them places to hibernate during the winter, somewhere they can be safe and warm, out of harm's way. This is especially important nowadays as recently, hedgehogs have been nestling down in bonfire stacks before they are lit; with tragic results. Made from wood (untreated - which is best for the hedgehogs as it emits no fumes), the hedgehog house has a large opening at the front so the hedgehog can get in easily, but small enough to keep foxes and predators out. The roof is made of bark, and blends in with surrounding flora, with only the cute hedgehog sign above the door giving a clue to who is inside.

What better way to help provide shelter to our feathered friends than by providing them with shelter from the elements - our rustic Parkwood bird nesting box will help do just that. The Black Forest bird house is lovingly designed in the style of an alpine hut and is characterized by its attention to detail. The gable is particularly elaborately designed and the entire bird feeder is surrounded by a seat ring as a "balcony". The shutters and the door are set in green and are particularly eye -catching. The roof, floor and balcony are kept in a natural brown tone of the wood, while the hut itself is pre -glazed in light gray. The birdhouse is delivered fully assembled. Only the supplied, color -matched stand needs to be screwed on and the birdhouse can be set up. A matching Archie & Oscar plastic silo is also included. The silo is simply pushed into the house and feeding can begin!
