The item itself is a good and solid table. However it was delivered broken and in pieces, which is absolutely disgraceful and a disappointment. I have had to arrange a return to get it taken away and a full refund. Wayfair need to maybe re-assess who they use for the delivery of larger and heavier items such as this. When it was unpacked the top of the table was broken and cracked all the way across, which must have been no mean feat to have done. It is a solid top, so a fork-lift truck must have run over it in the warehouse or similar - an absolute disgrace. When it was delivered, the packaging was falling off of it, and the delivery driver ran off/disappeared very quickly, so we had absolutely no chance to refuse delivery of the item. Knowing the state of the packaging and the state of the item therein, the delivery company clearly didn't want to engage with us as the recipients. Appalling. I am still awaiting a collection to be arranged to get this broken up item back to Wayfair.
It should also be noted that parts of the steel frame were also bent. We can imagine some drama in the warehouse that happened to this item before it got to us, and it was clearly catastrophic. The delivery company however, still went ahead with the delivery. If they were a good company they would have gone through due process and got a replacement, before putting it out for delivery. They obviously didn't care and just wanted to get it off their hands. A very bad experience and Wayfair need to have better control over the delivery companies they use.. Gillian. Harlow, GB.
