Thermowood Redwood D = Durable WOOD. Thermo Wood is actually a process, not a species, but it’s now just commonly referred in the trade as a species given its ubiquity. The process modifies the timber using very high temperature and steam in a controlled chamber so that the cell structure is changed and the end product is more stable and slightly more durable (albeit a bit more brittle too). The most common species is Pine. Thermowood can be used for both cladding and decking so is this profile which is smooth both sides with small eased edges. Thermowood is a durable product which takes wood finishes e.g oils and coatings well if required. Thermowood can be face fixed with screws to the face to avoid splitting during drilling.

These are really pretty looking over concrete! Only thing I don’t like is it seems that you have to put them facing the same way or they don’t fit together right which is why I am only giving it 4 stars. Also, one of the plastic clips on bottom of the tiles was broken so I have some concerns of the quality of the clips. I am not sure how they will weather or do with people walking on them so I will have to come back in a year to do another review. Very easy to work with though as the bottom of the tiles have grids that interlock together to create a clean space. Looking forward to getting these installed next to my hot tub space.. Joann. US. These tiles arrived quickly, although the box was pretty beat up. They don't appear to be damaged. I like that they are flexible which helps on uneven ground.
