I bought this gate as a replacement for the gate on my pergola and I couldn't be happier with it. The quality is excellent — it's sturdy, well-made and looks far more expensive than it actually is. Once installed, it completely transformed the area and gave the pergola a fresh new look. The timber finish is lovely, the gate feels solid, and all the fittings were included and easy to work with. It opens and closes smoothly and feels secure, which is especially important when you have children around. Nice design, reasonably strong, well made and appears well protected from the elements on the whole. Strange that some bolts and washers aren't black like the rest of the fittings. Instructions were pretty poor and unclear, with low quality photos. Latch was OK but with limited flexibility and some elements unclear again (why was there a locking ring under the wall piece that appeared impossible to use?). Anonymous. Mon Jul 13 2026
