We bought the pergola to provide shade over our hot tub. It has the added bonus that if we lower the front panel it gives us complete privacy from neighbouring properties. It wasn’t the easiest thing for two people to build because of its size. There were two different sets of instructions neither of which were particularly clear. This is a very sturdy and quality gazebo and not much more in cost than the more flimsy one that it replaced. The material is thick and strong. It has a steel frame so it is very heavy but it comes with a sturdy bag that has wheels on it so easy to move about. It is really easy to put up and take down and can be done alone, although easier and quicker with two or more. The additional height in the middle makes it look elegant, the bar that gives it the extra height comes off for storage but it the structure is longer than other gazebos so check the dimensions against where you are going to store it. We are have having to store it sideways due to the shape of our shed. We got the creme colour which looked lovely against the greens and the colours of the garden. There are 4 sandbags to be filled to give it stability, guy ropes and 8 tent pegs. We only used the pegs and the guy ropes as the weather was so good and we were only keeping it up for a couple of days. The wind did get up and we were a bit concerned for a couple of the other gazebos we had up but earth this one did not move at all. The frame fits easily into the storage bag with wheels but there is no room for the roof and walls and no bag provided to put them in. This is really good value for money.im really pleased with this it took a friend two hours to put it up. It hasn’t been secured to the ground yet but will have to be as it’s on my patio. But I am really pleased with it. My garden is very sunny and a brolly was useless as I had to keep moving it as the sun went round. I really love it. It’s very simple to assemble and I actually did everything alone but it took me about 4 hours to get it all done. My family and friends love it.
