Seems of good quality especially for the price (others I looked at ranged from £100 to £700). It is quite heavy. Metal pole is likely to be more durable than the fragile wooden ones I've had in the past. The winder mechanism is good and enables my mother to raise and lower it using her one good hand. This is such a large and solid item with a brilliant range of movement it’s really impressive. My only disappointment was some really poor stitching on the fabric. I sorted it and hope this was a one off as it really does seem like a great quality item. This comes with a base but YOU NEED WEIGHTS. Even when not windy.
