Yes a lot of assembly, the table was difficult as nothing lined up!! I've been building furniture for the past 38yrs. So am able to find a way around things, but in all honesty, the majority of the public will struggle. It was difficult bending the metal into position, will it last? Heaven knows. If they do get wet then allow them to fully dry in the sun or somewhere warm before you store them. This set includes a FREE water resistant cover but please note, this is not fully waterproof and you should still store your cushions somewhere dry during wet weather and through winter.
