Yes a lot of assembly, the table was difficult as nothing lined up!! I've been building furniture for the past 38yrs. So am able to find a way around things, but in all honesty, the majority of the public will struggle. It was difficult bending the metal into position, will it last? Heaven knows. But advert should state difficulty is assembling for those who are not quite capable in putting furniture together & there are many out there. Do like it though. The feet of the table and chairs are polished steel. The table top is tempered 5mm thick glass, making the table light, bright and easy to keep clean. The perfect 6 seat garden table and chairs for all your outdoor living needs, whether that's fun family afternoons in the sun, or cosy chats by the firepit with friends. The PE rattan is UV and weather resistant so shouldn't fade. This set includes a FREE water resistant cover but please note, this is not fully waterproof.
