This weathered material in this decorative piece brings about a natural, serene and authentic atmosphere to the garden. This set of three planters not only adds atmosphere but also provides a space for a variety of plants or flower to grow.
As mentioned by another reviewer this item looks way better in real life than in the photos. It is a real ceramic masterpiece. The illusion that it is an aged, lichen covered stone urn is so convincing that, even when you are holding it in your hands, it is only the weight that gives it away. My only slight criticism would be that the base is slightly too small making the urn as a whole look out of proportion. I intend to cast a cement sub-base to remedy this.
Update: Unfortunately, my planter is no more. Having planted it out, I picked it up by the rim which broke up and the planter smashed to pieces on the floor. So, a word of warning, the planter looks like it is made of stone or cast concrete, but it actually made of very thin walled glazed earthenware and is consequently very fragile. Handle with care!.
