Unfortunately when putting together due to the wood being soft the screws went straight through the holes and did not grip. Had to glue all the joints and use wood filler. Also had to varnish with clear satin. For a memorial bench it was not fit for purpose but we needed one to unveil to family who had traveled from afar. Sorry to report this. Bought loads from Wayfair and all had been brilliant.. Phil. Torpoint, GB. Sun May 23 2021

The Ammergau bench will captivate with its unusual design that invites you to sit back and spend both mild summer nights and bright sunny days relaxing on the terrace, balcony, or in the garden. Unlike traditional garden benches, the side supports of the Ammergau bench are shaped like two cartwheels, resulting in a visually-pleasing creation that brings activity and movement to a standstill. The dark fir wood seat echoes the tranquillity of bygone times and is coated with a special treatment to help the wood maintain its colour and durability. Not only is the bench protected against wind and weather, but it also exudes its own unique charm thanks to the artificially-aged surface. This versatile wooden bench may also be used as a decorative piece of garden furniture or as a home for affectionately-arranged flowerbeds or colourful, planted balcony pots. The Ammergau Wooden Bench will be a calming and romantic spot that you can retreat to for long hours of relaxation or creative inspiration.

Great value, easy to assemble, a lovely addition to the garden. Wheels give it a bit of character. Brian. York, GB. Tue Sep 01 2020
