Made from untreated wood, this wooden house will attract a variety of bugs into the garden by offering them a place to nest. Traditionally insect habitats don't look particularly attractive or fun - this one changes that and will instantly bring a smile to a child's face, as well as stimulate their interest. Offering a nesting place for a variety of wildlife, the front panel features a hollow section that is perfect for butterflies. The top section has wooden blocks which offer a nesting place for a variety of bugs, while the bamboo sections above are ideal for mason bees and lacewings. The house can sit sturdily on the ground - alternatively, a metal hanging plate is included if you wish to wall or fence mount the habitat.

Providing a shelter for hedgehogs gives them places to hibernate during the winter, somewhere they can be safe and warm, out of harm's way. This is especially important nowadays as recently, hedgehogs have been nestling down in bonfire stacks before they are lit; with tragic results. Made from wood (untreated - which is best for the hedgehogs as it emits no fumes), the hedgehog house has a large opening at the front so the hedgehog can get in easily, but small enough to keep foxes and predators out. The roof is made of bark, blends in with surrounding flora, with only the cute hedgehog sign above the door giving a clue to who is inside. Finished in natural green and brown colours, the ceramic bowls are decorative, practical and easy to clean.

The original design solitary bee house made even better with an opening lid to see inside! Always a friend to the gardener, attracting solitary bees to the garden is not only safe but beneficial to the pollination of flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Attractive looking. A couple of the holes are a bit rough but not too terrible. It's only been up a couple of days so it remains to be seen what the bees think of it. Michelle. Pen-y-garnedd Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant Oswestry, GB. Tue Jun 09 2020

Introducing the Artisan Bee Hotel from the beautiful Bali Range, handmade and hand-painted by Balinese artisans in a genuinely authentic Indonesian style. The entire range is constructed using sustainably sourced timber and has been lovingly hand-painted using a dot painting technique. The Artisan Bee Hotel creates a habitat for many solitary bee species to lay the next generation of larvae and provides shelter during bad weather. Always a friend to the gardener, attracting solitary bees to the garden is safe and beneficial to pollinating flowers, fruit and vegetables. The Artisan Bee Hotels are handcrafted in Bali, Indonesia, from sustainably sourced, durable timber using traditional painting techniques to produce a unique garden feature. The brightly coloured hand-painted dot design is appealing to us and will also help attract solitary bees. The hole sizes of this habitat are precisely specified to attract non-swarming bees like the Red Mason Bee, Leafcutter Bee and other solitary bees. These friendly bees are industrious and safe around children and pets. The bees are naturally attracted to holes in wood. The Ophelia & Co. handmade Artisan Bee Hotel provides a habitat for solitary bees that have become harder to find in modern gardens. The Bali Range comprises three handmade products: a spacious bird nest box, a hanging bird table, and a solitary bee house. There’s truly something for everyone to add a distinctive splash of colour to their garden or outdoor space whilst helping our nation’s treasured wildlife. Installation Stake this Bee Hotel amongst flowers in borders or planters where bees will be drawn. Site in a sunny position facing between south to the south-east to catch some morning sun. Maintenance Wipe away any external dirt with a damp cloth, avoiding anything abrasive. You can disassemble the Bee Hotel to clean the trays once all the larvae have hatched. (The timing of this will depend on the species of solitary bee you have nesting).

Made from untreated wood, this wooden house is perfect for attracting beloved bees to your garden. It's no secret that the bee population is in decline, so it's important that we do our bit to offer shelter and support where we can. It can be positioned on the ground, against a wall, or hung in place with the bracket (supplied). The hive can be taken apart to clean in between the slats and the roof has a stainless steel plate to keep it water-resistant.

The Recycled Plastic Hedgehog Feed & Care is designed to offer hedgehogs a safe and long-lasting refuge and has become the  Hedgehog Preservation Society's choice to offer in their online shop and hogalogue. The swivel lid provides easy access inside the Hogilo for cleaning, feeding or tending recovering hedgehogs. An overhanging roof and porch give protection against the rain, and the raised battened feet prevents rot. The entrance tunnel is just smaller than a 5-inch square. Inside the porch, there is a further maze style entry door before the inner sanctuary is reached. Made from recycled agricultural plastic on a plywood skeleton. The screwed construction techniques give strength and longevity, ensuring the habitat can withstand crushing or strimming. Clean if unoccupied after winter use (late March to early April) To treat the house for fleas, use only organic Pyrethrum powers suitable for birds. Dog and cat treatments are too strong and may kill a hedgehog Siting Locate the Hogilo within cover, out of the prevailing wind. Pile leaves or foliage around the house to further camouflage it. Place cut short lengths of dry grass or leaves inside as nesting material. Remember, hedgehogs are wild creatures; hedgehog houses should be covered over the winter for insulation. We recommend that houses are only checked and maintained annually; early summer is best.

The cube-shaped nesting box turns every tree into a design hotel for architectural orientated birds. The outer covering made from stainless or rusted weatherproof steel serves as rain shelter. Inside the birds find a cosy, species-appropriate room made entirely from wood. The steel cover does not lie against the wooden interior, so that the air can circulate well in between. A very likeable product that for sure makes winged friends feel comfortable and that offers pleasant calm aesthetics for the eye. Would say: perfectly balanced modern architecture with the potential to become a classic.
