This is certainly squirrel proof. My squirrel seems to have stopped trying to get into it. It says it’s for nuts but am not sure if this will work as holes extremely small. Will leave a bit longer and then try seeds. Jessica. Bury St. Edmunds, GB. Fri Feb 04 2022

Apart from that, the bowl has holes to drain the rainwater to ensure that the feed will not remain to lie in the water. It is easy to refill this nut silo by opening the screw-on lid.

The item is listed as copper when in fact it is no more than copper plated metal - which when installed as an outdoor bird feeder has soon deteriorated - miss described and miss sold. Keep squirrels away from bird food with this ingenious bird feeder. Coming complete with a large hanging hook (16cm x 15cm), this feeder has an array of features to try to keep the wily squirrel away from precious bird food. Firstly, it has a metal lid to stop squirrels from gnawing through to the food from above. The lid has a closing mechanism that is undone from underneath. This lid then overhangs the seed container by 3.5cm all around making it hard for the squirrel to navigate. Underneath this, there is another metal baffle of the same dimensions that creates another obstacle in the intruder's path. Finally, the perches in front of the metal feeding ports are spring-loaded, so if a squirrel does get this far, they will have their footing removed as soon as they place weight on the perch. The feeder also comes with 3 inserts that can be placed in the feeder ports to make them suitable for niger seeds.

Delighted with this very stylish feeder. The birds have yet to use it continuously, but I’m sure as the weather goes cold, they too will love it. I like the fact it’s large enough to incorporate more than one type of seed. Also very easy to keep clean. Needless to say, the service from your company was excellent.. Margaret. Easy to hang although watch out as the gaps in the mesh may be too small for some types of feed, get the right type and you're sorted, the birds haven't been away since this was put out!. Anonymous. Broxburn, GB. Sun Apr 12 2020

Its been up a couple of days. I can confirm the birds aprove! There will be an inch of seed left at the bottom, this has to be discarded, but as there seems to be a fast turnover I may remove and place on top of fill up to be used up first.. Sylvia. Hatfield, GB. Wed May 20 2020

This wild bird feeding duo includes a seed and nut bird feeder in a lovely copper colour. Crafted from electroplated metal, they are tough and hard-wearing, so will last longer than copper and give years of pleasure to bird lovers.
