We have been pleasantly surprised by this. My husband got it out the box expecting to have to make it and its all ready to go! Sits 8 comfortably, 3 on each bench and we added 2 chairs on each end. Doesnt feel hugely sturdy once 3 adults sit on the bench, I feel that there could have been a support put in the middle, however for the occasional use we are very happy and looks good too.. Heather. The Ayous that is used for this set is FSC certified wood and thus comes from well-managed forests. Because Ayous wood has an open cell structure, it can be perfectly thermally preserved by means of a treatment with steam or heat without using chemicals. The wood is heated up to 215° Celsius.
