Pots are made from Scandinavian Redwood and it is treated in an oil based preservative. All pots come assembled except raised beds where you need to fix legs. Your pots are supplied with one coat of the 'Taylor Brown' oil based preservative. To help protect and extend the life of your planter we strongly recommend for you to apply another coat every 6-12 months. Wood is a natural product and may expand and retract depending on the weather conditions therefore we can not be held responsible for cracking, splitting, warping and shrinkage as this is a natural occurrence, because of this it may be necessary to check the tightness of the bolts/screws. Resin is occasionally present in the timber and is no detriment, should this appear simply wipe with a cloth/white spirit.

I love these outdoor planters! First off, there are a two in the box. I like that these can be used on opposite sides of an entryway because these will allow balance with the overall look of any outdoorlandscap design. I have not actually put plants to grow on the lattice yet because the weather just started getting colder in my region. Another plus to these are that they have the caster wheels on the bottom, so each are easy to move around. The wheels also have a locking brace to keep them from rolling or moving. I bought the medium planter as the large one was out of stock. I was slightly disappointed about the size, but I measured it and its true to description. There are no holes per se in the planter but the base is slightly smaller leaving gaps for drainage, so if you are filling it with very dry soil it may poor from the open ends.
