The add is totally misleading. They are only selling the frame not the cover, while advertising it as a full unit, with the photographs of cover included. We had been looking for something that would give us shelter and protection outside our front door for years! A custom made porch was too expensive and rather ugly!Then we saw the Aquila Door Canopy. It looked modern, stylish and sturdy. It was not going to be easy to assemble as our front door is a corner entrance. We had to change the method of assembly as we could only approach the canopy from one side! The metal structures were quite heavy, but the screws and raw plugs were of high quality and did the job! You can lean ladders against the canopy.....it proved to be very strong. We are very pleased with the canopy and we are sure it will stand up to the elements! Time will tell!. Anthony. A neat piece of engineering and exactly what I was after to extend shading to the front of my summer house with one leg replaced by a wooden block at the top to enable it to be attached to the summer house itself. It is advertised as not being used in strong winds but I hope that it will cope with a reasonably stiff breeze as it is a bit of a fiddle to take the cover off and put it back on again. Update 16 Jun 2024: The awning cover has stood up well to some relatively strong winds and the stability of the frame has benefited from being attached to the summer house along one side. However, after some heavy rain, the water puddled quite badly in the first four panels at the front. This has been overcome by adding a network of intermediate supports made out of plastic conduit joined with conduit straight connectors cut out to fit over the existing bars (see photos below)..
