A neat piece of engineering and exactly what I was after to extend shading to the front of my summer house with one leg replaced by a wooden block at the top to enable it to be attached to the summer house itself. It is advertised as not being used in strong winds but I hope that it will cope with a reasonably stiff breeze as it is a bit of a fiddle to take the cover off and put it back on again. Update 16 Jun 2024: The awning cover has stood up well to some relatively strong winds and the stability of the frame has benefited from being attached to the summer house along one side. However, after some heavy rain, the water puddled quite badly in the first four panels at the front. This has been overcome by adding a network of intermediate supports made out of plastic conduit joined with conduit straight connectors cut out to fit over the existing bars (see photos below).. Fast delivery arrived on the 30/8/2019 when it was due the 5th of September with delivery firm informing us with phone calls Very pleased with this patio cover, arrived in perfect order no parts missing in fact extra nuts and bolts and rawl plugs, very good quality and a very solid bit of kit once up. The patio cover was easy to install it took me and my wife just a day to put this up but having all the right tools does help (a decent drill for 10mm holes, socket set and a powerful cordless driver is needed) A few weeks later and torrential rain, not a leak in sight!!!. Excellent door canopy. Fairly easy to install (one person job if you feel keen). Had a minor issue with putting a wall bracket in the wrong place but contacted Palram customer services, who are sending replacement wall plugs etc free, so excellent service from the manufacturer, even during the pandemic. Amazing awning and not too difficult to fit if you're handy at d.i.y. A two-man job though. Otherwise get it fitted by a tradesman.
