We had been looking for something that would give us shelter and protection outside our front door for years! A custom made porch was too expensive and rather ugly!Then we saw the Aquila Door Canopy. We had to change the method of assembly as we could only approach the canopy from one side! The metal structures were quite heavy, but the screws and raw plugs were of high quality and did the job! Fast delivery arrived on the 30/8/2019 when it was due the 5th of September with delivery firm informing us with phone calls Very pleased with this patio cover, arrived in perfect order no parts missing in fact extra nuts and bolts and rawl plugs, very good quality and a very solid bit of kit once up. The patio cover was easy to install it took me and my wife just a day to put this up but having all the right tools does help (a decent drill for 10mm holes, socket set and a powerful cordless driver is needed) A few weeks later and torrential rain, not a leak in sight!!!. Excellent door canopy. Fairly easy to install (one person job if you feel keen). Had a minor issue with putting a wall bracket in the wrong place but contacted Palram customer services, who are sending replacement wall plugs etc free, so excellent service from the manufacturer, even during the pandemic. The excellent product needs a bit more added to installation instructions and print on the instruction leaflet to assemble the unit on the ground and make a template out of the delivery cardboard box and publish the drill size needed 5MM and the horizontal distance between the bracket holes are 37 inches! Pin the template to the wall and mark the holes you need two people to lift the assembly and hammer in the bolts until 10mm away from home and use a ratchet socket driver to do the final tightening! If you want added strength to the frame assembly drill the front bracket hols with a 3mm drilbit and use self-tapping screws to secure the frame assembly further. Unless you are engineering savvy ask a professional's help! Or ask the factory engineer in China to drill all the holes necessary for pre-packing! An engineering marvel at an affordable price delivered to your doorstep! I run a 100-year-old Chevrolet car make all my parts for maintaining it and have done so for 50 years, so in good authority to comment on the excellent quality of this product!. This is awesome! I needed to provide privacy for the hot tub on my back deck, but my HOA does not allow high fencing of any kind. I installed this in the center of my deck, and when I use my hot tub I open each side and secure it on each end so that the entire side of my deck is completely private.
