These chairs are foldable for easy stowing (during winter) and transport. The frame is made of robust flat steel and has a back powder coat, while the slats are made from teak. Teak is one of the most robust wood types and is easy to clean and maintain. It does not need to be revarnished but should be treated with caring oil from time to time. The metal feet have plastic caps to prevent scratches on sensitive floors.

We're on the coast and got fed up of painting and replacing wood and metal chairs every couple of years. Bought two of these sets in blue - so 8 in total. Attractive chairs and the seat is comfortable. Lightweight so they are easy to stack and put away if necessary but appear solid enough to bear a heavy weight and last for years. No obvious joints or screws that will disintegrate. And they arrived as seen so absolutely no assembling which is always a bonus. Pretty colour and design.
