This rustic XXL bird feeder in a log cabin style is a proven classic when it comes to bird feeding. The solid birdhouse is made of weatherproof impregnated pine wood (Pinus sylvestris, main type of wood) and has a waterproof roof, which is covered with green bitumen shingles. It is ideal for offering grains and loose seeds and attracting many native wild birds into your garden. The wooden feed silo reliably protects the bird food inside from rain and dirt. Filling is done through the removable tip of the feeding station. The birdhouse comes into its own when mounted on a stand, e.g. on the corresponding birdhouse stand 33326e from Dakota Fields. European production is done by hand with a focus on the best quality workmanship.

I like the bird house but it's not the size written on the specification. It's much smaller and I'm unable to fit my hand in the box for cleaning. Not very happy. Antony. Farnborough, GB. Sun Mar 22 2026

Providing a shelter for hedgehogs gives them places to hibernate during the winter, somewhere they can be safe and warm, out of harm's way. This is especially important nowadays as recently, hedgehogs have been nestling down in bonfire stacks before they are lit; with tragic results. Made from wood (untreated - which is best for the hedgehogs as it emits no fumes), the hedgehog house has a large opening at the front so the hedgehog can get in easily, but small enough to keep foxes and predators out. The roof is made of bark, and blends in with surrounding flora, with only the cute hedgehog sign above the door giving a clue to who is inside.

A hand crafted insect house to encourage beneficial insects into your garden. The bamboo tubes provides the ideal nesting habitat for many of the over 200 species of solitary bee found in the UK. They lay their eggs in the tubes which are sealed in with a parcel of food made from either cut leaves or mud. The eggs change to larvae and then pupae which hatch out into new bees the following spring. The chamber with the slotted entrance provides shelter for moths and butterflies, many of which hibernate over winter. The pine cones provide perfect shelter for ladybirds, the scourge of aphids. The mesh has been designed to permit access to native ladybirds only, and not the slightly larger, invasive Harlequin ladybirds which prey on our natural species. The section with blocks opens so that you can add leaf litter in the autumn, which acts as good overwinter habitat for another predator of aphids, the lacewing. Ideally insect houses should be located in a South, South East or South West facing location in a sheltered position close to, but not obscured by, vegitation. This insect house was designed in collaboration with the UK's leading insect charity - Buglife

Great value set of 3. Help provide safe shelter for the bat population, with these large wooden roosting boxes. As well as being one of the most threatened types of mammal in Britain, Bats are also among the most misunderstood. Far from being nasty, dangerous animals, they are attractive small, furry insect eaters who need all the help they can get, and in return they will help to control a large range of garden insects. Bats need a range of roosting sites, including summer daytime roosts, winter hibernation nests and breeding sites. You can help them find a suitable roost by putting up a simple bat box. Bats particularly need help as many of their roosting sites have been lost during recent years with urban development and encroachment on their natural habitat spaces. This large box is therefore perfect for bat families as the narrow entrance slot and strong timber will help to discourage predators and provide a safe space. It also features a landing strip for the bats to climb in and out of their custom made shelter. When your bat box is sited, keep an eye out for common pipistrelles - they are one of our smallest bats, weighing the same as 10 paperclips and are small enough to fit in a matchbox!
