Yes a lot of assembly, the table was difficult as nothing lined up!! I've been building furniture for the past 38yrs. So am able to find a way around things, but in all honesty, the majority of the public will struggle. It was difficult bending the metal into position, will it last? Heaven knows. But advert should state difficulty is assembling for those who are not quite capable in putting furniture together & there are many out there. Do like it though. A very nice set, a bit smaller than thought it would be, and no hole for the parasol, but the longer we have the more we like, it looks a delight, and easy to move to different places, when I was cutting the hedge a lot of work, this was great to move to the front garden, for a glass of water and later a cup of tea, looks great out the front and the back too.
