The instructions for the assembly and installation of this product are beyond a simple DIY person. Only experienced DIY people should takle this awning because:- 1. The instructions are in gibberish translated from chinese by a chinese person and do not make clear sence. 2. Some instructions are missing, particularly where to fasten the mounting brackets on the wall. 3. Where and how to mount the 'blockers'. 4. The fixing bolts for the brackets are not suitable for using with hollow bricks. New fixings had to be bought. 5. It is impossible to mount the unit on the wall once it has been completely assembled due to the weight and being able to mark and secure the bolts on the brackets. 6. The mounting brackets should be fixed with only the mounting bar, before the canvass and roller have been added to it. 7. The bolts to hold the unit to the brackets cannot be fitted as instructed because the roller and canvass obscure the holes for the bolts. They have to be inserted from below, not above as instructed. 8. Once built using initiative and mods to the instructions and new fixing bolts it has performed very well.. Tom. Harrogate, GB. This door canopy can be used over doors, windows, patios, porches, or air conditioners to create a shed for a longer roof as needed.

Sliding the canopy plastic into the brackets is a bit fiddley but once it is in place and the screws are secured the canopy is rigid and ready to fit. It would have been useful if the instructions stated the required drill size but it is easily measured, 10mm. I spent a while marking the the wall making sure it would be level end spacing was correct. It was helpful to have some help lifting it into place and fixing in place. Fast delivery arrived on the 30/8/2019 when it was due the 5th of September with delivery firm informing us with phone calls Very pleased with this patio cover, arrived in perfect order no parts missing in fact extra nuts and bolts and rawl plugs, very good quality and a very solid bit of kit once up. The patio cover was easy to install it took me and my wife just a day to put this up but having all the right tools does help (a decent drill for 10mm holes, socket set and a powerful cordless driver is needed) A few weeks later and torrential rain, not a leak in sight!!!. Excellent door canopy. Fairly easy to install (one person job if you feel keen). Had a minor issue with putting a wall bracket in the wrong place but contacted Palram customer services, who are sending replacement wall plugs etc free, so excellent service from the manufacturer, even during the pandemic.
