Pots are made from Scandinavian Redwood and it is treated in an oil based preservative. All pots come assembled except raised beds where you need to fix legs. Your pots are supplied with one coat of the 'Taylor Brown' oil based preservative. To help protect and extend the life of your planter we strongly recommend for you to apply another coat every 6-12 months. Wood is a natural product and may expand and retract depending on the weather conditions therefore we can not be held responsible for cracking, splitting, warping and shrinkage as this is a natural occurrence, because of this it may be necessary to check the tightness of the bolts/screws. Resin is occasionally present in the timber and is no detriment, should this appear simply wipe with a cloth/white spirit.

This hardwood half barrel planter is made from European Birch and will enhance and compliment any style of garden. It is ideally suited to an assortment of plants, flowers, herbs and small trees, providing the perfect container for a wide range of environments.

I have been looking for this kind of half barrel for some time to replace the ones we have, which we have had for years and need replacing, so am delighted to have found them. Very well made, sturdy, perfect size and love the colour (which I know will weather nicely). They were packaged individually in strong boxes and the service was great. Would recommend.. Anonymous.
