We ordered the 5x3 mtr lean to gazebo, so not a small structure! The delivery was excellent, they kept us informed of delivery time, so we were prepared, they had waterproof cover for everything, so it was not left out in the elements. Thoughtfulness throughout. Everything was good quality, clear instructions. My husband is 76, and not a builder, rather he was an engineer, so this was a big job to tackle on his own. The only time he asked for help was to lift the front, so he could attach the beams to the wall mounting, it took four men to lift and hold the front upright, whilst he fixed the beams. Apart from that he did everything himself, making sure at all times everything was square and level. He did a fantastic job! I am beyond pleased with the result. It took him 9 days to build, and put the roofing tiles on, and then we had to wait as he ordered the lead etc which was the very last task. A point to note , everything you need to build the gazebo is there, apart from the lead, filler, wall bolts and patio fixing bolts. The hard wear that is with the gazebo kit, is counted so exactly the right amount is there, no extras, so be careful, dont loose, or misplace anything! We have ended up with an amazing gazebo, so much usable space now to eat outside, sit and relax, we absolutely love it, and have had so many compliments from friends and neighbours! An excellent gazebo with good quality timber, but not an easy job to assemble. This is not a DIY flat pack but a builders kit of parts, although I did to everyones amazement build it myself single handed, but then I am an Electrical Engineer with lots of ingenuity !. Very disappointing that they cant be bothered to drill most of the holes, especially when you get to the end and start the balustrade and find not only the holes are missing, so are any dimensions as to where to drill them, just showing the space between the spindles is not good enough. The roof is the worst part of the assembly when you find 200 pieces of wood with around 450 nails all needing a hole to be drilled to prevent splitting. Having almost finished it, it does look very good, still deciding if I am going to put the shingle on, as there are virtually no instructions or mention of adhesive, I thought this would have been supplied ?. I have watched the You Tube instruction which does not cover this particular assembly. Delivery was very quick, and the delivery drivers were excellent providing us with a lot of help unloading the eye watering mass of parts.. Philip L. Mon Apr 20 2020

It has made a brilliant space for sitting in outside. I chose to add a privacy trellis and a simple balustrade - much nicer than the shed-like walls on offer! DH buying experience was excellent, the team were very helpful. The pergola we bought was extremely well designed and made of quality timber. Self assembly went very smoothly and only requires decent DIY skills, basic tools and ladder. I managed to assemble my pergola (3m x 4m) on my own, but recommend two people do it. Our gazebo has double roofs. Also, it is made of 100% polyester with PA coating for cover, which is water-resistant. You can also remove it for washing or storage while not in use. This gazebo is easy to assemble.

This is a very stylish looking gazebo and looks great. It's also really easy to put together. Although the instructions are designed around 2 people assembling it, if you assemble the parts on their side on the floor then you can assemble it on your own - it's a little difficult when attaching the overhead cross members - but it can be done. I chose this particular gazebo myself because it looked like the fabric stretched really tight around the seams, and I hoped therefore it was less likely to leak water on a wet day. However, the fabric itself turned out to not be completely waterproof, and water did still pool (less a cup full, but still enough to be annoying) and leak through where the fabric was attached to the cross-members. You could also see daylight through holes were stitching was allowing yet more water through. I would definitely consider treating with some spray-on waterproofing agent first - even then, when it rains really hard to put a cheap tarpaulin over the top and that solves the problem. Given those deficiencies I would say it was good quality, but if you want to use it in wet weather then it is over-priced...but a lot better quality than the under £100 gazebos you can get from B&Q and other places. Note that mine was erected on concrete allowing me to secure it with screws in each corner - this made it super-solid - I cannot comment on how it would be if it was attached by tent pegs - but for me it was great because it didn't need any stay-ropes which can cause extra obstructions beyond the 3m x 3m frame.
