"Cold cast bronze" is a technique used for making figurines; it involves blending bronze powders with a specially formulated resin to produce a material that is applied to the interior of a silicone mold. The mold is then filled with a blend of resin and bronze metal powder, and the figurine is left to set. The finished item has the same appealing look as a bronze figurine, has a cool feel, and is weighted. All in all, a cold-cast bronze figurine is a piece of art produced for a fraction of the cost of solid bronze while still carrying the same incredible detail and design. Dust your bronze figurine with an untreated cloth or duster, and use no chemicals at all. If your figurine is very detailed or has hard places, use an artist’s paintbrush.
