We used them to support the hanging lights in the loft of our timber frame barn and they look great. Recommended. Could you use them for actual lifting? Eh, they're really made for appearance, but they could easily lift a couple of hundred pounds, if that's what you want to do with them.

I bought this pulley to hang above a picture so that it appears the picture is being held by the pulley. All I had to do was add some rope. The pulley is perfect. It's not to small, not too big. The good thing about this pulley is that, unlike a real antique, I didn't have to try to clean up rust or dirt. It has that "used" look without actually being used. However, it was just as expensive as a real antique pulley.
