This arm window stay is generally used to restrict the opening of bottom hung fanlight or casement windows. When fitted the quadrant stays will only allow the window to open a fixed safe distance. Usually, they are fitted in pairs, mainly used for bottom hung casement windows, supporting the casement as it falls inwards.
