Vertical stripes in every colour of the rainbow, painted in loose, honest watercolour on white. Mint, sky blue, lavender, lilac, violet, coral, rose, orange, amber — each stripe slightly irregular, slightly transparent, carrying the particular warmth and imperfection of pigment applied by hand. The white ground breathes between them, preventing the composition from ever feeling heavy or saturated.
The effect is joyful without being aggressive, colourful without being overwhelming. The watercolour technique softens what could have been a harsh graphic statement into something gentle, human and full of light — as if a rainbow had been captured at its most ephemeral and pinned carefully to a wall.
Equally beautiful in a child's bedroom or nursery and in an adult space that has decided that colour is not something to be afraid of. Exceptional in playrooms, creative studios, teenagers' rooms and any interior where the intention is simply to make people feel good the moment they walk through the door.
